Played it at NGA - The gameplay was really fun :D

It felt awesome swinging around, and it was a good kind of challenging which kept me engaged.

Just a few points of feedback:

  • You have to re-press W after you die, if you were holding it as you died . It would be nice for it to continue recognising the W input after death.
  • The default walking speed should be the sprinting speed - since there is no reason to move slow in this game, especially when it doesn't slow you down mid-air. Having to hold sprint the whole time non-stop is difficult, especially when you have to slide and sometimes move side to side.
  • Maybe bind the slide to multiple keys, not just control. I found it rather difficult to slide a lot of the time, and people with different sized hands will appreciate being able to press C or Z as well. (You can bind multiple keys to one action)
  • I often got stuck on walls I was directly facing in front of me, which slowed my momentum down to a halt - maybe I was triggering a wall run, it would feel nice to try and have wall running only possible from the side.
  • A little more visual consistency on what can and cannot be grappled could go a long way.
  • It would also be nice to have a crouch as well as a slide, for those times where you fly into an obstacle you're meant to slide under, but you are pressed up against it.

An otherwise superb speedrunning game that I had a great time with! 🙌
